The Fervor opens for Louisville’s Arnett Hollow at Headliners on New Year’s Eve. Arnett Hollow is a wonderful group of some of our city’s most talented players. From their bio: “Steeped in bluegrass, old time, and other world music, the band has always pushed the boundaries of their influences to unique places.”

Afterwards, Kim Sorise will spin records for you to properly shake off 2009. Put on your dancin’ shoes & gather your pals. It’s gonna be a fun night!

Visit our Tour page for the most up-to-date show listings!

We’ve added Fonatana’s Bar in NYC to our October tour on the 19th. November is also filling up, and somewhere in all of this we’ve got a record to keep demo-ing, because

WE’RE GOING TO SAN FRANCISCO! WEEEEEEEE!

The Fervor will head to the Bay Area to record their second album with Charles Gonzalez at Mission Bells Studio in December. We are super stoked to work with our old friend, Chuck, and to make this record in such an amazing city. We’re also excited to finally record an album with Michael Campbell, our bassist of the last two years!!, who joined us just after our release of Bleeder in 2007. Campbell appears on “Same State” (LIFL9) and our soon-to-be-released single, “No Apology.”

Speaking of, Karate Body releases The Green Belt in just a few weeks! “No Apology” is on one side of the 7″ green vinyl, and Wussy’s “Fly, Fly, Fly” is on the other. Look for the Belt series at your local independent record store.

shows

We’re playing St. Louis & Louisville this weekend with our friends Wussy. Looking forward to showcasing some new tunes and playing our first Louisville show in about 5 months!

Later this month, we’re playing Mars Fest:

And in September, we’ll be opening for The Features at Headliners in Louisville on the 10th!

Plans are in the works for a tour in October. We’ll keep you posted as things are finalized.

recordings

Karate Body Records will soon be releasing a series of 7″ vinyl singles, including one with both The Fervor & Wussy. “No Apology” has been a regular part of our sets for a while, and we’re looking forward to putting it out there. Look for the green belt release in October!

We’ve been writing our next album for a minute now, and we’re making plans to record this winter. Hopefully we’ll have a shiny new record for you to sink your teeth into by the time the cherry trees start blossoming again.

Aaaaand we’re back!

Our site went down for a few days this past week due to technical difficulties. We apologize for any inconvenience!

In other news…

The Fervor will back up Eremy Jirvin (Second Story Man, Whistle Peak) at The Green Room in Louisville, KY on Friday July 3 at 9pm. We’re doing Jeremy’s tunes, with a Fervor flavor, and maybe a Fervor song or two thrown in. Harlequins to open.

Honey, I’m home!

We made it back safe and sound from our March travels. Thanks to everyone who came out to our shows. Your support is sincerely appreciated. We had a blast touring with new friends Kaiser Cartel and Winterpills, and now we’re ready to buckle down and get to work on the next Fervor creation.

There are only a handful of copies left of Bleeder, so if you want it in cd form, you should check out Underground Sounds or Ear X-tacy in Louisville.

We’re now selling download cards!

Download cards are great because they’re cheaper than buying the cd, they take up less space and they’re better for the environment. What’s not to like about that? You can even download the artwork. Right now, download cards are only available at our shows, though you can still purchase Bleeder on itunes and other similar digital music sites.

Here’s a photo from the last night of our tour with Winterpills. I don’t know why we posed like cheerleaders. Or maybe we were trying to help land planes. Hard to say at that hour, things get a little hazy…
