Ear X-tacy In-store Aug. 19

shows No Comments »

This just in! The Fervor will play at the shiny, new Ear X-tacy location on Thursday, August 19 at 7pm. Our beloved independent record store has re-opened its doors at 2226 Bardstown Road, an addy I know all to well from my days at Kinko’s. While I may have flashbacks of coming off a ten-hour day only to discover the third shift person is a no-show and I’ll have work through the night, we’ll get through them together with some songs and record shopping. The show is free, but purchasing music is not, so bring the bills you stuffed under your mattress and treat yourself to aural pleasure today!

The Fervor opens for Louisville’s Arnett Hollow at Headliners on New Year’s Eve. Arnett Hollow is a wonderful group of some of our city’s most talented players. From their bio: “Steeped in bluegrass, old time, and other world music, the band has always pushed the boundaries of their influences to unique places.”

Afterwards, Kim Sorise will spin records for you to properly shake off 2009. Put on your dancin’ shoes & gather your pals. It’s gonna be a fun night!

Working on a single this week…

It’s called, “Yellowood,” and it happens to be a song that I wrote nearly a decade ago, though it has really taken shape with this band. I’m pretty excited about it, however we release it into the wild. Here are a few photos from our session:
